Indoor Nursery Mommy and Me Photography Session.

It was SO much fun to photograph this special Mommy and Me session! I traveled to Tilton, New Hampshire to capture the love between Katelyn and her sweet baby boy. I've known Katelyn for a long time, and we both have babies, so I know first hand how much love, and time goes into decorating and designing a nursery! I loved the fact that she has added so many homemade and sentimental items into the decoration. From the stuffed animals, the adorable rug, the baby mobile, the hand sewn blankets, the list goes on. One item that captured my attention was the bear lamp shown in the photo above, she told me that was a heirloom that has been passed down from her Grandmother.

Katelyn and I were both expecting at the same time, so of course we enjoyed talking about anything baby! She told me she was going for a "Hundred Acre Wood theme from Winnie the Pooh, mixed with some Peter Rabbit themes". Is there anything more perfect than that for a little boy's nursery?! I see many fun movie nights in the future for this little family!

Whenever I get to photograph children, (especially toddlers) I always love to capture a few moments of their parents sitting down and reading to them. While it not only creates some adorable candid photos, it also gives the little one a moment of rest and simplicity. For young children, a photoshoot is very exciting, and also can be a lot for their little emotions to keep up with. Reading a good old classic book with Mom or Dad, is always a great option when it comes to taking family photos! Growing up my favorite memories were always sitting down and listening to my Dad read to me and my siblings. I'm a big fan of the good old classics. Blueberries for Sal, Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel, Are You My Mother, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and of course my favorite, Winnie the Pooh.
